Elaine A. Pugh, age 80, of Orlando, Florida left us all too soon on Ash Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 18, 1941 to the late John Trease and Shirley Crago. She met the love of her life, Leonard E. Pugh Jr., on a blind double-date with friends. He won her over, and they built a family together that extended into generations. Before she was done, Ms. Elaine had become "Grandma" to the whole neighborhood, never letting anybody leave her care without some good food, a laugh, and some love. Her filter-less humor kept everybody joyful, and the blankets she cross-stitched for her grand-babies kept them all warm. Elaine loved holidays, especially Christmas. And at Easter, she made sure everybody had fair chances at her legendary egg hunts! Her steadfast thoughtfulness kept everybody's hearts soft and tender, and we miss her with all our hearts.
Elaine is preceded in death by her dear husband, Leonard E. Pugh, Jr.; and her parents, Shirley Crago and John Trease.
She is survived by her children, James E. Pugh, Deborah A. Pugh, Patricia L. Pugh-Holmes, and John A. Pugh (Susan); grandchildren, Amy Glisson (Chris), Sara Calvo (Brandon), Chad Pugh, Tyler Brooks (Brooke), Alyssa Pugh, and Bayleigh Holmes; and great grandchildren, Carley Calvo, Mason Pugh, Aubree Glisson, Kennedy Pugh, and Waylon Glisson.
Please join us on Tuesday, March 8 at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida for Visitation at 12:00pm and a Celebration of Elaine's Life at 1:00 with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the Pugh Family invites you to make a donation in her name to The American Cancer Society.
