Elaine Eugena Samuels 81, was born on April 28, 1939 in Plowden, Manchester, Jamaica, the second child to Jonathan & Keturah Cassells(Mills). She peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 24, 2020. She was the loving and caring Wife to her husband Edgar Samuels for 62 years. She was the nurturing Mother of four sons, eldest Lloyd 62, second Howard (deceased 21), third Glenford 56, fourth Xavier-John 47. She was the doting Grandmother of seven Grand-children, eldest Shawnte, Glenford Jr., Brittani, Joseph, James, Jasmine (deceased) & Isaiah. She also witnessed the arrival of four Great Grand-children Ahmyah, Josiah, Zariah-Elaine, & Ariah. She was the loving sibling of five brothers and five sisters, eldest Eulalee (deceased), Winifred, Valerie, Josephine, Gretel, Alton, Ronald, Dolphie-Benjamin, Lynford, George. She migrated from Jamaica in 1968 to Canton, Ohio, quickly resettling with her Brother-In-Law Richard Samuels in Hartford, Connecticut. Her husband Edgar soon followed. She worked for Combustion Engineering for 25 years. Although she was never an official member of Sportsmen Athletic Club in Hartford, CT, as a devoted wife who supported her husband’s endeavors there, she was acknowledged as such. After Thirty-one years in Connecticut Edgar & Elaine retired and relocated to Clermont, FL in 2000 to enjoy their “Golden Years”. She was an official member of the Caribbean-American Association of Lake County and a devoted member of Church of God of Prophecy Ocoee, Florida, and also fellowshipped at the newly formed Church of God of Prophecy in Clermont, FL.
“Sister” Elaine, loved to laugh, sing, dance, cook & play dominoes. Her smile would light up a room and her great sense of humor could raise anyones spirit. She was a beacon of light that was dimmed too soon.
