Elaine Eugena Samuels 81, was born on April 28, 1939 in Plowden, Manchester, Jamaica, the second child to Jonathan & Keturah Cassells(Mills). She was the nurturing Mother of four sons, eldest Lloyd 62, second Howard (deceased 21), third Glenford 56, fourth Xavier-John 47. She was the doting Grandmother of seven Grand-children, eldest Shawnte, Glenford Jr., Brittani, Joseph, James, Jasmine (deceased) & Isaiah. After Thirty-one years in Connecticut Edgar & Elaine retired and relocated to Clermont, FL in 2000 to enjoy their “Golden Years”. She was an official member of the Caribbean-American Association of Lake County and a devoted member of Church of God of Prophecy Ocoee, Florida, and also fellowshipped at the newly formed Church of God of Prophecy in Clermont, FL. “Sister” Elaine, loved to laugh, sing, dance, cook & play dominoes. Her smile would light up a room and her great sense of humor could raise anyones spirit. She was a beacon of light that was dimmed too soon.

My Grandma taught me how to read, write, love and to be a strong person. I would not be the strong, compassionate, and smart man I am today without the many lessons she taught me. These lessons I will pass on to my children and the generation after. Her Loving personality transcends the time she spent on this earth with us. Continuing to remember and teach these stories will keep her memory alive for many generations to come. Thank you Grandma for being Amazing. Love you.

Elaineeeee! Aka Aunt Elaine. What a woman and role model. We shopped, we took Zumba classes together (back to back), we went out on drives to look at houses. She was full of life and as mischievous as ever always trying to prank uncle Raff. She loved to dance and remember the good old days. Her kindness and generosity was second to none. And boy did she love British net curtains!! She was a very special lady to me, a second mum and friend. You will be greatly missed but your memory will live on forever and I will remember your wise council. Massive love Jan Grace and Alicya 💕💕

My aunt was bigger than life, it seems her smile was made of sunshine and I'll always hear her laughing in my head. Her "laugh" made my heart smile. I can hear her now telling me "don't throw away the banana skin it's the best part of the banana, or don't throw away the used foil paper it's good for scouring pots." The banana I did not try, but the foil works like a charm. I'm sure going to miss her but I do have some precious memories I'll cling to when the going gets tough. RIP Auntie.

But He knoweth the way that I take : WhenHe hath tried me I will come forth as gold(Job 23:10).
Aunt Elaine or Sister Elaine as we affectionately call her. A supporter , encourager, mother and friend. Her smile was soooo contagious it would light up any room. This family has lost a rear jem. Only Heaven knows how she will be missed. As a child she was the one who introduced me to banana porridge boy she loved to cook can't be hungry at sister Elaine's house.
She was fun to be around, our second mother she took care of us like her own children .
To Uncle Raphael, Lloyd (Vivian) Glen, Xavier (John) keep strong she is home safe. Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his saints. We love her but Jesus love her best and that is why He took her to be with him. She is home and safe let us make sure we get to see her when the roll is called up yonder. Sleep in peace Aunt Elaine.

COOKING, CLEANING, SINGING, DANCING AND CHEERFULLY SUPPORTING HER HUSBAND SAMMY, AS WE TRAVELED AROUND PLAYING CRICKET. SOMETIMES MISS ELAINE WAS THE ONLY LADY CHEERING ENTHUSIASTICALLY IN THE PARK, EVEN WHEN IT SEEMED LIKE THERE WAS NO WAY WE COULD WIN. YET SHE CHEERED EVEN LOUDER...WE COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON HER TO ENTERTAIN CRICKETS AND GUESTS IN HER HOME, WHICH SHE DID OFTEN OVER THE YEARS. THE MEMBERS OF THE SPORTSMEN'S ATHLETIC CLUB OF HARTFORD CT.. GRIEVE WITH YOU AND WE HOPE YOU WILL BE COMFORTED IN YOUR SORRY BY REMEMBERING ALL THE EXPERIENCES YOU WERE ABLE TO SHARE WITH THIS SPECIAL LADY.. AND WE ARE GRATEFUL THAT YOU ALLOWED US TO SHARE SO MANY OF THOSE WONDERFUL MEMORIES ALSO. .... .MISS ELAINE R I P

What’s special about this pic isn’t so much the two characters in it as much as what she’s wearing.... in 1983, my brother Howard Anthony Samuels passed away at 21 y/o. My mom use to love seeing him in that hat she’s wearing in this pic. Isaiah’s middle name is Anthony like my older brother. Mom is there now with you, so your room (in heaven) better be clean. 🧹
