Elmer “Pat” Dozier, 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was born in Grays, Kentucky to his parents Sudie and Everett Dozier on February 26, 1924. Elmer married his late wife Marge in 1947 in Walden, New York.
He was a veteran of United States Air Force and flew 45 missions over Europe during World War II. Elmer was an electrical engineer and worked for Link Aviation in Binghamton, New York. He belonged to the 460th Heavy Bomb Group Association as well as the VFW.
Elmer was preceded in passing by his wife, Marge Dozier and his grandson, Brian Dunman. He is survived by his children, Brian Dozier (Clara) and Karen Di Domenico (Mark); his brother, Jim Dozier; his sisters, Margie Finley and Phyllis Robbins; his grandchildren, Imre Hocker and Gillian Porch; and his great grandchildren, Deanna Dunman, Rain Chikonski, Mattison Chikonski, Levi Hocker, and Avalyn Porch.
