

He was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania on November 25th, 1928 to the late Joseph and Julia Perhacs. Elmer met his beloved wife, Judy, at a bowling outing for work… seven kids & eleven grandchildren later, He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force, then he was a supervisor in the steel mill for U.S. Steel and you could often find him listening to the polkas on the back porch or feeding the birds in the backyard…he enjoyed rooting for the hometown Pittsburgh Steelers, and coached baseball on many levels for his kids' teams. He loved playing the lottery and even had his own system of figuring out which number would hit, as he would win quite often. Elmer loved his ethnic foods like kielbasa and pierogis, but would bring home pizza on his way home from work, even though he never ate it just because the family enjoyed it.
Elmer will be dearly missed by his family.
He is proceeded by his wife, Judy, son David, and grandson Steve He is survived by his children Joseph, Diane, William, Steve, Duane, and Ronnie; and, grandchildren Jessica, Jaime, McKenzie, Kacie, Kylie, Robbie, Sam, Becky, Nicole, and Emily.
