Elsie Marie Lockard

Elsie Marie Lockard, 92, of Clermont, FL, passed away July, 27th 2015 in her home. She was born November 15, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, IL. She had the opportunity to travel and live in several different states, before residing in Florida in 1960. She retired from the Orange County Public Schools as an Office Administrator. A hobby she thoroughly enjoyed was going on cruises. She had the opportunity to go on over 20 of them with family and friends. Everyone that met her loved her. She was a kind, gentle soul that you couldn’t help but love. Everyone called her grandma, because she truly made you feel like she was your own grandmother. Family was everything to her. She was an amazing wife to late husband George William Lockard. Dedicated mother to Larry and Harold Lockard. Loving grandmother to Tara White, Phillip Lockard and Sean Lockard. Caring great grandmother to Tiara Alexander, Kaitlyn Benson, Jordan Lockard, Madison Lockard and Reagan Lockard. Devoted great-great grandmother to Saundra Alexander. She touched so many people’s lives and she will be truly missed! Her services are at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The viewing will be held Friday July 31st from 5-8 PM. The funeral will be Saturday August 1st at 10 AM.
