Ercella E. Williams

Ercella Williams was born to John and Virginia James on March 26, 1927. She was the eldest of four and was raised in Brandonhill Manchester Jamaica. Ercella attended Craighead School in Manchester, after which she relocated to Kingston.

While in Kingston Jamaica she attended Cosmetology School and worked as a beautician for many years. Ecella me the love of her life Gladston Williams in 1956. They courted for six months got married and in 1962 migrated to London. Together they had eight children.

While in London she worked in the medical field for many years and also continued her passion for beauty with creative hair designing for family and friends. Ercella was loving caring mom; her children were her pride and joy. She never complained of her duties as a mother and was willing to do anything for her family.

After 14 years in London the family migrated to the United States to join additional family. She continued her career in the medical field until she retired in 1989 after which relocated to Orlando Florida. Ercella attended and became a member of the Metro West Church of the Nazarene where she accepted the Lord and was baptized.

She was the love of her childrens life, they adored and respected her. When it came to her needs NO was not apart of their vocabulary. Ercella enjoyed cooking, gardening, decorationg her home, shopping,and traveling. Her home was a haven for her relatives and friends from abroad who enjoed the pleasure of her company and always looked forward to visting her.

Ercella Williams was affectionately known as mommy, grandma, aunt Ercie and sister to all. She leaves behind to mourn her lass, her husband Gladston Williams, children: Marie, Michael, Claudette, Aston, Marlen, Puline, David and Peter; 32 grand-children and 30 great grand-children. Four daughter-in-laws: Puauline, Timothea, Pamela and Shana. Four son-in-law: Leroy, Ainsley, Jr., Everton and Joe; one sister, one brother, several nieces and nephews. She will be surely missed.
