He was born on April 22, 1941 in Miami, Florida to his late parents, Marvin & Lorraine (Mileham) Edwards.
Ernie grew up in Miami, graduated from Miami High, and fulfilled his education at Orlando Junior College and Wyoming State University at Laramie, from which he graduated.
He served 20 years in the United States Air Force, which moved him all around the country, and brought him to find his bride, Doris, in Syracuse where they both attended a church youth group.
To this day, she and their family full of love describe Ernie as so patient, wise, and humble. He was easy to laugh with, and generous to missionaries, and anyone else in need.
In his free time, Ernie was a fine grounds keeper at their happy home, gardening, and birdwatching, feeding and counting them too… He and Doris loved to travel together; and, he spent many an hour journaling, studying the Bible, and especially Biblical prophecy.
“Ernie was a wonderful man, who could always be trusted and admired. He was faithful to whatever task he was given. He showed his family extraordinary love and affection. Til we meet again at Jesus’ feet – we send our gratitude to you, Lord. Thank you for allowing Ernie to be part of our lives.” ---His Loving Family
