

Born in Iriga City, Philippines on April 21, 1941, Evelyn graduated from college and medical school at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. In 1966, she came to the United States to continue her physician training and began a career practicing anesthesiology for over 30 years in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Evelyn was married to her loving husband Cesar Alcantara on June 17, 1972 until his passing in 1999.
A deeply devout Catholic, Evelyn was a long-time active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, where she attended Mass almost daily, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and participated in Filipino ministries. She previously practiced her faith as part of the communities of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, Florida and St. Edward Catholic Church in Ashland, Ohio.
After retirement, Evelyn enjoyed travel with family and friends to six continents, including multiple cruises and religious pilgrimages. She volunteered countless hours. She especially loved fundraising and planning and attending class reunions through her medical school alumni associations.
Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Chris Limperis); sons Jason and Jeffrey; grandson Christian; step-grandchildren Jessica and Edward; grandpup Chachi; brothers Lino (Mariel) and Fredolin (Cora); nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Holy Family Catholic Church, Orlando, Florida.
A visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819, US, on October 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819, US, on October 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
