

Pardee, Evelyn Chapman, 80, went home to be with the Lord and passed away peacefully on August 4, 2010. She was born in Birmingham, Al. on Jan. 22, 1930 to James W. Chapman Sr. and Mary Jewel Chapman. She was a member of the 10th Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham AL. and graduated from Woodlawn High School. After graduation, she went to work at Baggett Transportation as head of the IBM Department where she met and married her loving husband Harold Pardee. Evelyn was a homemaker who loved to cook and entertain. She returned to the work force at Green Thumb Nursery where she happily spent her days as the telephone operator. During these years, Harold and Evelyn enjoyed many fun filled weekends in Astor, FL at their river front property. Several years later, Evelyn went to work for Earl K. Wood at the West Colonial Tag Agency where she was a Pink Copy Manager and Telephone Receptionist. After 14 years of working at the Tag Office, she then retired to stay home with her grand children who were the absolute joy of her life. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco, being involved in her families’ activities which included numerous school events, girl scouts, dance, band and horseback riding. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sisters, and husband of 45 years. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon P. Chandler, son-in-law, Gordon Chandler; grandchildren; Rebekah (Bek) and Moriah (Mo) all of Ocoee; Niece, Diane Hogan Ciaramella (Carl) of Oregon; Nephew, Charlie E. Hogan (Kim) of Ocoee; 7 great nieces and nephews; cousins Robert Earl and Elaine Reynolds of Tampa and close devoted friend Kimberly Crisp of Ocoee. The family would like to thank Lake Bennett Health and Rehabilitation and Hospice of the Comforter for their love and care during her final months as well as other lifelong friends who faithfully provided love, friendship, and support.
