

Frank Edward O'Brien, 85, of Jay, New York passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2015 in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born on November 12, 1929 in Queens, New York to the late Frank E. and Maud (Bayly) O'Brien. Frank was a United States Army veteran. Mr. O'Brien taught Biology and Chemistry at Walt Whitman High School in So. Huntington NY for 27 years. He was a devout Catholic who enjoyed golfing,skiing, sailing, astronomy and had a vast interest in all of God's amazing creations. Frank was still snow skiing at age 83 and spend countless hours woodworking and also played the piano. He is preceded in death by his brother, Barry O'Brien and sister, Thelma Brown. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Sheila O'Brien; son, Patrick (Michele) O'Brien; daughters, Sharon (Hinson) Stephens, Erin (Charlie) Wissig, Colleen (Darren) Macdonald; 10 grandchildren, Jason (Renee') Wissig, Tara (Virgel) Quintal, Candice Pretsch, Amanda Wissig and fiancée, Elliot Cuoco, Meagan Macdonald, Corey Wissig, Brian Macdonald, Riley Stephens, Sarah Stephens, Sonny Stephens and 4 great grandchildren, Alicia and Sophia Wissig; Jonas and Noelle Quintal. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Gotha, Florida.
