Frankie A. Turner was born on December 9, 1924 in Alexander City, Alabama. She was kindhearted with a quick smile and a quick laugh that engaged all who were around her. In her younger years, she sang gospel songs, either as a soloist or as part of a duet, on the radio as well as in local churches and continued to love the Lord all her life. She loved to play the piano and was honored to be her high school’s Class Musician during her senior year. She married her husband, the late Hoiet Turner, in 1943, during World War II. They had a loving, devoted life together for 67 years. Hoiet and Frankie moved the family to Orlando, Florida in 1964. Often times you would find her listening and sharing “life stories” with her friends, encouraging them, and making them laugh.
Outside of her family, her faith in the Lord to supply all her needs was the most important part of her life.Frankie slipped away to heaven on April 7, 2016 leaving behind two daughters, Denise Samuelson and Elizabeth Moore, son-in-law Andrew Samuelson and fiancée of Elizabeth Moore, Jay Elliott.
