Franklin Delano Gentry, 82, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday September 5, 2015. Franklin was born on August 11, 1933 in Mohawk, West Virginia to the late James and Lucy Gentry. Franklin retired from the U.S. Air Force. In 1993 he retired from Orange County. Franklin enjoyed scuba diving, gardening and was a member of the Fiero Car Club. Franklin was predeceased by his loving wife Helen A. Gentry, siblings, Harry Gentry, Don Gentry, Dan Gentry, and Bea Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Thompson, son, Richard Gentry, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha. A Reception will be held following the service in the Library at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home is entrusted to arrangements.
