He was born on July 16, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Melvin & Nellie (Cline) Snyder.
Fred met his bride, Marjorie, under a tree at church; and, they were married for 52 years, raising a beautiful family together.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of faithful service; and, then became Director of Materials Management for many Florida hospitals. In his free time, he enjoyed restoring all kinds of classic cars, Camaros being his favorite.
He is preceded in death by his dear wife, Marjorie Snyder.
Fred is survived by his son, Fred Snyder, Jr; daughters, Brenda Lynn Sonafelt, Janet Leigh Henry, Cheryl Ann Snyder and Karen Louise Clauser; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 with Visitation at 1:00, Service at 1:45 and Committal with Air Force Honors at 2:30.
