DONALD GARY ANDERSON "Gary" of Winter Garden, Florida was born on June 22, 1945 in Appalachia, VA. Died peacefully in hospice care, February 9, 2020 in Winter Garden, FL. Predeceased by parents, Clyde & Matilda Anderson; son, Donald Gary Anderson II, daughter, Christine Hinton; and wife, Mary Anderson.

He leaves his loving life partner, Carol Evans Darrow; son, Jeffery Anderson, Hammond, LA; daughter, Cynthia Johnson, Surprise, AZ; son, Clifford Johnson, his wife, Linda, Umatilla, FL; brother, Ronald Anderson, his wife, Carol, Knoxville, TN; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Graduate of Boone HS, Orlando, FL. Served in US Navy as Corpsman in Viet Nam 1966-67. Excelled in Marksmanship; Member of American Legion Post #63. Employed 40 years Walt Disney World beginning with construction of the castle. Master Craftsman & Staff Shop Foreman, Epcot, receiving multiple awards. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting & exploring mountains during his youth in VA. He had an innate knowledge of history, loved reading, gardening, NY Yankees, visiting Indian Rocks Beach & Smoky Mountains. He was long known for his positive outlook on life and his sense of humor.

A Memorial Service will be held February 22, 2020, 6:00 pm @ Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
