Dear Buddy George,

We were deeply saddened to hear of your passing. Although many years and many miles separated us, the bond of family remained, and we will always remember you with warmth and affection.

I will always cherish the memory of your courage and determination in being the first of our family to leave Guyana and make a life for yourself in New York. Years later, after my own journey from Guyana to London, then on to Canada, and finally to New York, you were there to welcome Gee and me when we arrived. Your kindness, warmth, and generosity made a lasting impression on me, and it is a memory I will treasure forever.

On behalf of myself and all of my children, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to all of your siblings, family members, and loved ones during this difficult time. We hope everyone finds comfort in the many happy memories shared with you over a life that was clearly well lived.

May you rest in peace, and may your memory continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.

To the Bedesi Family this is Tameshear ,a second cousin  of George from the tkinship network in Unity..  .. on behalf of the Roopchan family and tthe entire kinfolks of the Bethunes, LuckooBoy, Aunty Meena, aunty Baby, Agie Buck and hundreds of others I extend my deepest condolences on George's passing. George has been a cornerstone in his family network., a beacon of hope and guidance for all his brothers and sisters Nano, Shirley and  the others. He took on  the mantle of responsibility from his father Ramroop and his mother Sylvie on their passing. I myself enjoyed his generosity oand guidance when he lived in Georgetown as Police Officer before migrating to the US

I ask the family to commemorate his memories and to remember him always as a good andkind person.

Part 2 cause it all couldn't fit in just one post...
Then as you settled it, you would still call to chat and tell me what's going on with you. And I would always make you my priority to visit when I was in Florida. I have my memories, but it still won't be the same without you here. I have always known that I could depend on you, but now I will have to look just a bit further up in the sky for your smiling face and talk to you from afar. Uncle George, sleep well without any more pain. I love you and will miss you forever. Shobs xoxo

My Dearest Uncle George, Firstly I am so sorry that I can't be there to see you off. We both knew that this would come eventually and we even spoke about it. And I would say to you even if I make it to your funeral, who would really know me there. And you would say to me, who cares because you would know I was there. And not to worry about such things, because your people knew who I am. So it's been 53 years since I first met you. And in those years you have always, always been the kindest, most loving Uncle to me. Treated me like your own daughter even though we aren't even blood related. My kids love you like you are their own Grandfather. And everyone who knows me, knows about you. So to say that you will be missed by me and my people is an understatement. The physical aspect of you will be gone, but never the cherished memories. Growing up and spending almost every holiday with you in the Bronx, learning how to read and my favorite book being Curios George. And then much later on in life, you being at my wedding, visiting my kids as they grew up, you cutting out the word searches and soduku games from the newspaper and bringing them to my office so we could do them together. And of course you bringing me a boiled egg for lunch. Then coming to my house and eating beef... curry, stew, cookup, pepperpot, qhatever beef thing you wantedm.. and asking me where I bought the beef from and could I order some for you from the butcher the same way. Then you going home to cook it and calling me up to say it doesn't taste like mine. And me saying, well then you have to keep coming to my house to eat beef. Then as you started to get older and trouble with your knees, we would do research on doctors and surgeries until you decided that you would move to Florida. That was a sad time for me. But right until you got on the plane we were having funny talks about whether you could wear your big belt buckle and if they would take it away from you, which thankfully they did not.

I was saddened to learn that George had passed away.

My deepest condolences to all the family. 
May our God of love comfort your hearts and may your memories of happy times past help to ease the pain of your grief.

George always made me laugh with his teasing of "old days".

Dearest Uncle George...I have known you since I was 4 years old...I remember teasing you - Georgie Porgie pudding and pie, kissed the girls and made them cry. When the boys came out to play, Georgie Porgie ran away...Rest in Peace...

Buddy George was the most handsome attractive one in the family, I can bearly remembered him when he came to visit us in WC D . I was very young about 7 yrs old . It is very sad to hear the passing of Buddy George. May his beautiful soul resides in Shri Krishna’s heavenly abode and attains liberation/ Moksha. Although we were not in touch, still  his passing touched all of us . Memories are treasures no one can erase.  Our deepest condolences to all our cousins for the passing of the great Buddy George.
