Gerald Powell, age 83, died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his home in Orlando, FL. Gerald was born in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica on December 31, 1928. Gerald was known for being ambitious, incredibly smart, and an over-achiever. After moving to the United States in 1957, Mr. Powell attended the Indiana Institute of Technology and pursued a career in mechanical engineering. Gerald is survived by his wife, Edith (Leonie Thomas) Powell, children, Sean and Sharon, grandchildren, Haydon, Ameila, Alshanette, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
