Gerald “Jerry” Stewart died on March 18, 2012 at age 70. He was a native of Orlando, born on August 8, 1941 to the late Cyril and Erville (Knott) Stewart. Jerry was retired from Orlando International Airport as a traffic control manager. He was known for being everyone’s best friend and had a great sense of humor. Jerry loved going to Walt Disney and was fond of Mickey Mouse and the Cheshire Cat. He was an avid Orlando Magic fan who also spent many hours at the movie theater watching the latest movies on the big screen; however he also enjoyed westerns, Star Wars, comedy and adventure. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Roberts; grandchildren, Lydia, Trevor, Kyle, and Brandi; significant other, Barbara Gift and her children, Karen, Gayle and Ken; sister, Bonnie (Larry) Hamill and his Aunt Estelle Stewart. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3:00p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha, FL 34734.
