Glenda Satcher Chastain, 83, of Orlando, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 14, 2017. Mrs. Chastain was born in Rome, Georgia to the late Samuel Arthur Satcher Sr., and Essie Wills Satcher on January 11, 1934. Mrs. Chastain attended McHenry High School in Floyd County Georgia. She worked as a cashier at the Piggly Wiggly in Rome, Georgia. Mrs. Chastain relocated to Florida where she became a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Castle. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Chastain was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Chastain Jr. her brothers, James Alton Satcher, and Samuel Arthur Satcher Jr. her sisters, Shirley J. Satcher, Bernice S. Broome and Ruth S. Corntassel. She is survived by her brother, Donald (Lillie) Satcher, of Rome, Georgia, sister-in-laws, June Satcher and Edna Satcher of Rome, Georgia, son, Wayne (Terri) Chastain of Orlando, Florida, daughters, Lynn (John) Knowles of Hayesville, North Carolina, and Beth (Jack) Kline of Orlando, Florida, grandchildren, Brian (Melanie) Chastain of Warner Robins, Georgia, Michelle Jackson of Summerville, Georgia, Winter Kitchen, of Sherman Oaks, California, David (Sarah) Knowles, of Jersey City, New Jersey, Darrell Knowles, of Kennesaw, Georgia, Courtney Kline, Brooke Kline, and Emily Kline, of Palm Bay, Florida, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and a close friend Jo Hiatt. Visitation will be held on Monday April 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Pine Castle 1001 Hoffner Avenue Orlando, Florida 32809. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Pine Castle Building Fund.
