Gregory Scott Butterfield, 53, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 after a long and courageous cancer battle. Greg was born on November 25, 1958 in La Harpe, Illinois to George "Bud" and Patsy Butterfield. Greg always excelled in school and enjoyed sports. He was a 1976 graduate of Northwestern High School and a 1980 Graduate of Western Illinois University. After graduating college he landed his first job at Wausau Insurance where he met his bride-to-be, Lynn. They married in 1982. In 1984 Greg landed a job with Arthur J. Gallagher and Company where he would spend the duration of his career. Greg enjoyed being with his family, working, reading, watching sports, and good food. He is survived by his wife Lynn, children Melissa, Brandon and Patrick and wife Mandy, grandson Jacob, parents Bud and Pat Butterfield, brothers Doug (Becky) Butterfield, Todd (Karrie) Butterfield, and sister Jodi (Garrett) Lindell, and his Grandma Carey.
