Gwendolyn Capraun Brice

Gwendolyn H. Capraun Brice, 85, of Clermont, Florida passed away on Friday March 7, 2014. Mrs. Brice was born on July 21, 1928 in Olean, New York to the late Forest and Virginia Holly. Mrs. Brice worked for Case Cutlery in New York and then moved to Sheffield, Pennsylvania where she met and married her first husband Claire (Vern) Capraun in 1947. Mrs. Brice was a nursing assistant and then later became an LPN after she and her husband moved to Orlando in 1963. She worked for Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando. She was a member of the Crescent Club at the Lake County Shrine Club and a member of the Golden Ears Walt Disney World Retirement Club. In 1999 Mr. Capraun passed away and in 2002 she married William Brice. Mrs. Brice was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed by all her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Claire (Vern) Capraun, her Aunt Gladys Rockwell and her Uncle John Case. She is survived by her husband William Brice, sons, Lynn Capraun, David (Linda) Capraun and Steven (Terri) Capraun, five grandchildren, Erick Capraun, Jeff Capraun, Heather Warren, Ryan Capraun and Connie Capraun, eight great grandchildren, Hailey Capraun, Hannah Capraun, Maggie Capraun, Joseph Capraun, Caleb Capraun, Ryen Capraun, Brijette Warren and Ryan Avery Capraun and many other loving family members. Visitation will be held on Friday March 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 at Woodlawn Funeral in Gotha with a funeral service to be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 4:00pm with a Celebration of Life reception to be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brice will be laid to rest next to her first husband Claire (Vern) Capraun at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
