

Ila Kay Stanton Ellis "Kay", age 84, of Maitland, Florida passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Her final days were spent peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Kay's family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support shown during this time.
Kay was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Kay White and her parents, Von and Blanche Deckelman. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Ellis; sister, Betty Farrington; son, Steve (Mari) Ellis; grandchildren, Victoria Ellis, Jason Ellis, Brittany (Brian) Blagg, Dylan Saile and numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved 16yo Papillon, Dakota.
Kay was know for her dedication to her family and friends, love of bowling and playing cards along with a love of camping in their RV. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Bahia Shriners.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. David Collins of Maitland Presbyterian Church, where Kay has been a member for many years, will be held on Friday, July 5th at 11am at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha. Family will receive friends from 10am to time of service. Burial will follow service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Celebration of Life for Kay will be at noon on Saturday, July 20 at Bahia Shrine Center, 3101 E. Semoran Blvd. Apopka, FL 32703. Please come for casual fellowship with friends and family.
