

Ina “Fay” Flowers went to Heaven in a peaceful passing on September 17, 2024 at her home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by family. She was 91 years young. Fay was born in Toccoa, GA on June 6, 1933 to Cranford and Winnie Collins. She married David Fletcher Flowers (d) on November 18, 1949 in Wilmington, NC. They had three children.
Fay is survived by children David Dwan Flowers (Wendy), Dale Alan Flowers (Tracy), Dwanna Fay Martinez (Pete) and daughter-in-love Debbie Flowers; grandchildren Shane Flowers (Rachelle), Corbin Flowers, Christina Flowers, and Adrian Martinez (Mariah); and great grandson Aiden Flowers. A second great grandson, Ezra Martinez, is expected in November. Fay is also survived by sisters Hazel Collum and Ruby Barnhill, along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was husband David, sisters Clavis Coston and Sue Williams, and brothers-in-law Joseph Coston, Jesse Williams, Jesse Collum, and Harry Barnhill.
Wife of an Army Sergeant, Fay lived and travelled throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Fay enjoyed a long career in the US Civil Service, retiring in 1988. David & Fay loved people and enjoyed the company of many close friends.
Fay loved to travel, socialize, be with family & friends, and was a great cook. Before moving to Texas in 2018 Fay was a long-standing member of The Pentecostals of Apopka and loved her church family.
While Fay will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord, her health restored, and eternity ahead.
A visitation for Ina will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
