Irene Retina Allen was born to Robert and Clarissa Allen in Spanish Town Jamaica, West Indies on March 25th 1914. She was one of eighteen (18) children. After graduating from the Catholic School System in Spanish Town, she obtained employment with Supreme Bakery, after which she went on to open Porters, her own beverage business.

On Wednesday June 24th at 3:45 p.m. she took her last breath and went home to be with the Lord.
She is survived by her brother Amos Allen, five children: Roy, Neville, Donald (Liz), Lillieth and Franklyn (Janice); twenty-three grandchildren: Rodville, Edwin, Rhona, Ronnie, Tony, Yvonne, Jackie, Audrey, Andre, Eldros, Eddie, Latoya, Dusty, Troy, Billy, Andrea, Janice, Frankie, Tania, Kathy, Tony, Tracey and Sean and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews — too many to mention.
