Ismael Almodovar, 79, of Orlando, Florida passed away on February 12, 2013 at Health Central in Ocoee, Florida. He was born on December 18, 1933 in Guanica, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio Almodovar-Ramirez and Santia Matos. Mr. Almodovar was a retired taxi cab driver. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden, Florida where he was a deacon and a volunteer for the New York City Police Auxiliary. Ismael enjoyed doing handy work, landscaping, playing dominoes and watching cowboy movies. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gladys who passed away on October 15, 2008. Survivors include his sons, Ismael (Gracie) and Harry (Nancy) Almodovar; brother, Juan De Dios Almodovar; sisters, Cruz Amelia and Angelina Almodovar; five grandchildren, Vita, Michael, Robyn, Geneva and Christopher; three great grandchildren, Raylyn, Camille and Jason.
