Jack was a fine man and a pleasure to be around.  My heartfelt condolences go out to his family along with prayers for the peace that passes all understanding 🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼

I worked with Jack at the Big House in the late 90's and it was truly a great pleasure and experience. I was with him on T1 his last shift when we had the Hammock Brothers fire caused by a passing train. I’ll never forget the look his face when we were told to "abandon the bucket "! by District 1 because we lost power to the bucket. It was then with a smirk and a “you gotta be kidding me” expression and then we climbed down the boom. So sorry for your loss, he will surely be missed! 🙏🙏🙏 RIP!!

Trudie and I will be out of town during these events, but want to share our condolences to Jack's surviving family. We worked together at OFD for many years, and Jack was such a good man. He loved his family, was loyal to his friends, and brought a great attitude to work. Not every firefighter is fortunate enough to have a Lieutenant like Jack, but for those who did, it was precious gift. RIP brother.

I was sad to hear of Jack’s passing. I only have one memory of us together. Jack had been hired by the OFD and one midmorning Jack and I leaned up against the protective barrier surrounding one of the fire poles. He was apprehensive, expressing there was much to learn and understand about our profession. His concern wasn’t solely for himself but his coworkers and the citizens of Orlando. I admired that in Jack, willing to openly express these feelings. His honesty impacted me, thank you Jack.

My papa was always one  of my biggest supporters and proud of me flying.

Where do I start when it comes to Memories with your father and mother. Some of my earliest memories are joking around with your dad. He always had something to put a smile on her faces as kids. Or it was one of his great stories of being a firefighter. He was always someone who treated us as equals even though we were just kids and I always loved him for that. He truly was a great man. So sorry to hear it was fasting but I know Heaven is a better place because he is there now. May God comfort you in your time of loss but just know that it is not goodbye it is just I'll see you later and he's actually hanging out with Terry now probably telling stories about you and the adventures they both had over the lifetimes they got to spend with you and their own separate ways of doing so.

So very sorry to hear about Jack but rejoicing knowing Jack is now residing in his Heavenly Home..Prayers for his sweet wife and children and his grandchildren…sending lots of hugs and many prayers….🙏

It was with much sadness that we learned of Jack's passing.  We recently spent a lovely lunch and visit with both Jack and Frances.  During that time we actually discussed our feelings about dying.  Jack was very clear that he feared it not at all and looked at that time as meeting his Lord and Savior as a glorious event.  Of anyone we know Jack loved the Lord and lived his life honoring Him by his actions.  He was a dear soul and will be missed by many he touched.  We send our love, thoughts and prayers to Frances, who shares his deep faith, as well as his family.   We'll miss you Jack.  ❤

It is with the utmost sorrow that we wish Jack's Family the very best during this sorrowful time.
Jack has been a fellow worker, friend, neighbor and confidant for far too many years to remember.  His humor, gentle manner and way of being open to everyone he worked with, met or in disagreement with showed his true character and belief that no matter what we are all one.
Though he and Frances moved several years ago we've always remained in contact.  Although he was not just down the road he was always just a call, text or E Mail away. 
 So actually he wasn't really  gone then. Oh though now I  understand that he has moved on to where he and everyone who knew him knew where he'd stop to rest and wait for the rest of us to catch up.
My friend Jack will never truly be gone because you can assure yourselves that as long as there is still one person that remembers him he'll still be around. I assure you I will not forget the man we knew as Jack the neighbor,  friend, Firefighter, husband, father and quiet servant to his creator. 
Rest assured Jack will always be around..
