Jim graduated from Montclair College and received an MBA from Rollins College.
He married Patti on January 16, 1988.
Jim had a career in computer hardware and management for Westinghouse, IBM, Modcomp and finally Stratus, where he was district manager for customer service.
He was a member of the computer club and The Society of Individual Investor; and had a passion for the stock market, travel, fine dining and the Theater. He loved to study higher mathematics and science.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Patti; brother, Jerry Hughes of Philadelphia and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, US, on March 16, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
