James C. Lively, age, 91, died of natural causes, on May 28, 2012, in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on September 16, 1920, in Hartford, Kentucky, to Oscar L and Beulah (Wilson) Lively. James was the oldest of 8 children. After completing school, James enlisted into the United States Air Force, and was a veteran of WWII, where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. James married Mildred (Nalley) in Owensboro, KY, and was married for 66 years before his passing. He was a self-employed working in the construction industry. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Connie Denise; and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Nalley) Lively; son, Robert (and his wife, Ouida) Lively; grandchildren, Jason (and his wife, Jocie) Lively, and Amy (and her husband, Jason) Crane; 4 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Payton, Callan, and Connor; and 5 sisters.
