He passed away the day after his 60th birthday due to complications of cancer.
Steve was born March 30, 1958 to Maribell and Gordon Russ in Columbus, GA, where Dad was stationed at Ft. Benning, and spent the majority of his life in central Florida. He graduated from Evans High School and The University of Central Florida School of Engineering. And after many years in engineering sales, he finally realized his dream of driving long-distance semi trucks.
He is survived by a very sad mother and father and their spouses Ron Woodard and Gail Kasmir-Russ, his two loving daughters, Hannah Russ and Cody Russ-Amin (Kamal), and an adorable grandson, Kian, who was the light of his life for the past nine months. He is also survived by two sisters, Sally Russ, Sarah Russ, and Stepbrother Steve Woodard (Julie). Steve also leaves behind numerous sweet, loving and supportive relatives and friends, who stuck by him until the very end. Their loyalty and love is greatly appreciated by his entire family.
