Jane Adams Caines, 83, passed away on December 13, 2018. Jane was born in Upper Darby, PA on December 10, 1935, to Dwight E. and Violet Elizabeth Buckler Adams. Jane graduated from Collingswood High in West Collingswood, NJ and later business college. She was very proud of her first job with the Pitcairn Company (founders of Pittsburgh Plate Glass) in downtown Philadelphia and later worked as Executive Secretary for General Development Corporation. Jane married Ralph Earl Caines of Moorestown, NJ on June 4, 1955. During their marriage, Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy and Coast Guard until his death at the age of 37.
Jane came from a musical and theatrical family. Her love of singing and acting continued throughout her life. She sang as a church soloist, acted in community theatre, sang in public concerts for the City of Miami, and worked as a vocal coach. She played various roles, a few of her favorite rolls were playing Aunt Nellie in "Carousel," and Mother Abbess in "The Sound of Music." Jane and her father were in the Miami Opera Guild together and sang in the chorus of "Manon" and "Madame Butterfly."
She is preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Jody Lee Caines. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Ann Leon (William) of Miami, FL and Debra Lynn Zeeuw (Barry) of Orlando, FL and grandchildren, Sabrina Marie Leon and Amanda Rose Leon.
