Adams, Janet Winslow, 60, passed away surrounded by her loving family Saturday morning, March 9th, 2019. Born in Orlando on January 30, 1959, she was a Floridian through and through. After graduating from West Orange High School, she received her undergraduate degree in political science in 1980 and her law degree, with honors, three years later from the University of Florida. Go Gators!
Janet has more than 30 years of civil trial experience representing hospitals throughout Florida, including serving as lead counsel in more than 250 medical malpractice cases. Her amazing career accomplishments were only surpassed by the impression she made with everyone she encountered. She was the type of person most aspire to be. Known as "Aunt Janet" to family and friend alike, she rarely missed the opportunity to spend time with her family and cheer them on at their various events, especially football games.
Aunt Janet was survived by her brother, George Edward Adams Jr, Nephew, George Edward Adams III and his wife Donna, Niece, Cassie Barnes and her husband Mike, great nephews, George Edward Adams IV and wife Mikala, Clay Everette Adams, Michael Lee Barnes Jr, and Weston Robert Barnes. Great niece, Shaylee. Great great niece, Kaylee Marie Adams. Preceded in death by her mom, Lyda Winslow Adams and brother, Robert Carl Adams.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 11AM at The Chapel at 436 Oakdale St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FBCW with the notation FBCW/Olympia Sponsorship. They can be mailed to First Baptist Church Windermere, 300 Main Street, Windermere, FL 34786. We are asking everyone to wear their gator gear, or orange and/or blue in her honor.
