Janet Marie Martin

Jan Martin was born August 15, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA. Her parents were Joseph and Francis Fife. Jan graduated from Upper Saint Claire High School in 1966. She then attended and graduated from the Weaver Airline School in Kansas City, MO. Jan then worked for United Airlines where she met her future husband, Mike Martin, in 1968. They were married in November 1969 in Pittsburgh, and she became a stay-at-home mom.

In 1986 the family moved to Orlando, FL. After her years of being a faithful tennis mom to Brian and Brad, she went to work for Birket Engineering in Winter Garden, FL as their office manager. Jan was, in fact, the heart and soul of the company. She worked there 33 years, retiring in September of 2020.

Jan went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, March 21, 2026 after bravely battling pancreatic cancer for 5 1/2 months. Jan modeled love and integrity for her entire life!

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike and their two sons, Brian and Brad, daughters-in-law Donna and Ashley, and five wonderful grandchildren; MacKenzie, Emma, Andrew, Ava and Drake. Jan is also survived by her brother, Bruce Fife of Upper St. Claire, PA and her sister, Sandy Pressau of Sewickley, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations in memory of Jan to be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer research.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at First Baptist Orlando. 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 3280
