Rosanne,
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom.  
I remember meeting her before you.  She answered the phone call I made responding to an ad for a roommate for you.   (Side note: you and I were both driving white BMW’s at that time (1987?).
I remember your Mom and I agreeing that we felt it was meant to be and that we would make good roommates.  I remember thinking to myself, “wow, she is such a classy lady” when I met her in person.

Augie and I were close friends and neighbors of Jeanne and Tony for 5 years
here in  North Carolina. 
We became very fond of both of them.
It was as if we had known them all of our lives. We had so much in common. We 
loved cooking and eating together at home. We all had a rich Italian heritage.
We talked and laughed for hours when we got together.  We missed them very much.
We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. She will be greatly 
missed.  May they both rest in peace.

My sister Jeanne was the middle child in our family of three children and she filled that role well . . .  the adoring little sister to Johnny, the caring big sister to me and the connector who was steady and dependable, always available, always nurturing and giving. 

During our growing up early years our Mother worked and so it was Jeanne who I came home to after school.  She generously included me (her “little sister”) in her afternoons with her girlfriends at our house, and many times at their homes when Doris would make us fried rice (her family owned the best neighborhood Chinese restaurant).  

We stayed close during my teen and her young adult years and later, she happily and lovingly accepted Anthony, as we planned our future together.  She was my maid of honor at our wedding and over the years truly regarded Anthony, not as an in-law, but as a brother.  She is (and always will be) Gina’s Godmother, I am Rosanne’s Godmother and Auntie M to all “the kids”.  Our bond was and will continue to be strong through the love and affection all our children have for each other.
