He was born in LaGrange, Georgia on September 30, 1929 to the late Ralph P. Arnold & Julia C. Arnold.
Jim met his beloved wife of 44 years, Audrey, at Martin Marietta, where they both worked; and, he proudly retired from that same company many years later in 1992 as Lockheed Martin.
Audrey fell for Jim's great sense of humor, and they blended their families together with great love.
While he wasn't working "Papa" loved to take family and friends boating, enjoyed scuba diving, cruising with Audrey, served faithfully as a lively greeter at their St. Luke's Methodist Church functions, and at home, adored watching all the wildlife surrounding them from raccoons to bears.
We already miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents; sisters, Mary Woodall and Margaret Colie; son, Perry Arnold (surviving wife, Lezlie); and stepson, Tommy Williams (surviving wife, Colleen).
Papa is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Arnold; daughter, Lynn Arnold Williams (Kenny); sons, Steed Arnold (Leslie) and David Arnold; stepchildren, Kenny Williams (Lynn), and Kathy Marlow (Ron); grandchildren, Christopher Wilson (Jackie), Jessica Cale (Matt), Ashley DeHaven, Shannon Chancellor (Greg), TJ Williams, Ben Williams (Marcus), Jennifer Scott (Nate), and Joshua Marlow (Jacy); great grandchildren, Gage Chancellor (Michelle), Shelby Chancellor, Trace Chancellor, Levi Chancellor, Lacey Williams, Cynthia Williams, Malachi Williams, Isaac Williams, Dean Wilson, Luke Wilson, Emma DeHaven, Chloe Marlow, Lily Marlow, and Sophia Marlow, Kayleigh Scott, Skylar Scott, & Greyson Scott; great great grandchildren, Arkin Williams, Izzy Chancellor, and Maddie Chancellor; nephews, Tim Colie (Linda) and Jim Colie (Asya); and, many other loved ones.
