Joan D. Clarke, 82, of Orlando, Florida passed away on August 24, 2013. Mrs. Clarke was born on November 22, 1930 in Staten Island, New York to the late Christopher and Viola (Lynch) Desmond. Mrs. Clarke was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Ellsworth S. Clarke. Mrs. Clarke was also a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family passionately. She is survived by her sons, Ellsworth Clarke, Jr., Chris Clarke and Dave Clarke; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Joan Clarke will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband Col. (Ret) Ellsworth S. Clarke at a later date.
