Joan Marlene Grace

Joan Marlene Grace, 83, of Longwood, FL passed away on October 15, 2017. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 13, 1934 to the late Victor Larsen and Grace Hannon. Joan was a musically talented woman who had a love of playing hand bells, piano, and the organ. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden, loved working with children, and most importantly she loved her family.

She was a member of Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood, FL, Director of Grace Notes Hand Bell Choir, and a member of the Presbyterian Women's Association for 31 years. In previous years, Joan was a member of United Church of Christ in Medfield, MA for 26 years where she was the Director of five bell choirs those 26 years. Joan also belonged to the American Guild of English Hand bell Ringers for 48 years and held titles as Massachusetts's State Chairman, vice chairman, and chairman of the Six State New England area.

Joan is survived by: her loving husband, Robert; sons, David, Brian, Kevin, and Steven; brother, Richard Larsen; sister, Norma Wagner; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on December 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood, FL.

Joan will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
