John lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his friends, his country, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He served honorably in the United States Army for four years in the Army Corps of Engineers, a chapter of his life that reflected the sense of duty and integrity he carried throughout his years.
More than anything, John was devoted to his beloved wife, Saulyne, the love of his life and partner of 51 wonderful years. Together they built a marriage filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering love. They shared a passion for travel and created countless memories exploring the world together, from relaxing days at the beach to unforgettable cruises through Alaska and Europe.
John was a proud father to his two sons, Joshua and Danny, and an even prouder grandfather to Carter and Kinsley. His children and grandchildren were the greatest blessings of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying their company, he found immense joy in being surrounded by family.
An avid fisherman, John spent many happy days on the water with friends, pursuing the sport he loved so much. His cherished Action Craft fishing boat was one of his favorite places to be, and many of his fondest memories were made there. Fishing was more than a hobby—it was a source of peace, friendship, and countless stories.
Those who knew John will remember his kind heart, gentle spirit, and remarkable patience. He loved deeply and generously, especially his wife, whom he adored with all his heart. His steady presence, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered always.
John is survived by his loving wife, Saulyne Bond; his sons, Joshua Bond and Danny Bond; and his beloved grandchildren, Carter and Kinsley. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Though he will be profoundly missed, John’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless memories he created throughout a life well lived.
May he rest in peace.
