

John William Piemonte peacefully passed away on December 9, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan 6, 1942. He attended Lafayette High School and was an excellent member of their gymnastics’ team. He continued his education at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He became a brilliant mechanical engineer. In the early to mid 60's he was a member of the "You Know Who Group," a 4some of Italian guys from Brooklyn who wore masks and sang with a British accent. They cut an album and performed live on the Clay Cole Show. He wrote songs, played bass guitar, and sang back-up. In his professional career, he worked at the family business Lourdes Instrument Corporation in Old Beth Page Island, NY with his Father, Brother and Sister. They designed and manufactured centrifuges for the medical industry. He then worked at Vernitron in New Jersey. In 1976, he moved his family to Clearwater, Florida where he became a restaurateur in several family businesses. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his wife Tina Rossi of 53 Years, his children Christine and her husband Geoffrey Goldman and John Jr and his wife Raquel Tripp, his grandchildren Addison Goldman, Gabriela and Giuliana Piemonte, his siblings Jo-Ann Brandt (Richard) and Stephanie Visceglie (Thomas), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William, Frances, Gina (stepmother) and his brother Vito. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Saturday December 18th from 10:30 – 11:45 at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha) followed by a funeral mass from 12:00 – 1:00 held in John’s honor in the Daily Chapel at Holy Family Catholic Church, (5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando). Entombment (Burial) will follow at 1:30 at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, with a Celebration of Life at Armando's Lake Nona from 2:30 – 4:30 (10775 Narcoossee Rd. Orlando, 407-233-4741).
