

Jose Antonio Calderon, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2017, at his home in Chuluota, Florida. He lost his battle with the Alzheimer’s disease but through it all, he was the happiest person and had an infectious smile that captured everyone he came in contact with.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October, 21st. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 32765 in the “Garden of Resurrection” section. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Carmen Calderon.
Jose was born on April 2, 1936 in Canovanas, Puerto Rico. His parents were Vicente Calderon and Victoria Rivera. He had four siblings; Oscar Rivera, Carlos Julia, Robert Julia and Carmen Julia. He married Carmen De Jesus on December 16, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. They were married for 39 years when his beloved wife passed away on August 10, 1999.
Jose is survived by his three sons and his two daughters; Dennis Calderon and his wife Sonia Calderon. Robert Calderon, Eddie Calderon and his wife Aimee Calderon, Marlene Beltran, Linda Klukosky and her husband Mark Klukosky. He had thirteen grandchildren; David, Ileana, Robert Jr., Sandra, Adeana, Katrina, Anthony, Kayla, Krista, Allie, Cory, Rowan & Colton. He had four great-grandchildren; Anthony Ramon, Viviana, Xandrian and Jayden.
Jose was employed in the grocery store industry for over 50 years in Chicago, Illinois and Miami, Florida. He enjoyed his career and retired from Publix in 2011. He loved baseball and his favorite teams were the Chicago White Sox and Miami Marlins. He also had a love for horse racing especially harness racing. His biggest passion in life was making sure his family was well provided for.
