Joseph Macrina, age 61, of Orlando, Florida, died on August 2nd, 2026. He was born in West Point, NY on September 2nd, 1964. 18 years later, he would attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, making many friends, terrorizing the underclassmen, and fully embodying the values of Duty, Honor, Country.
He received a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and commissioned as an Officer in the Armored Cavalry. He left the Army in 1992 for a career in business, working across several fields, from applied chemistry onboard cruise ships to global software sales for some of the world’s biggest companies.
Joe was endlessly curious, and had a gift for connecting people and solving problems others found impossible. He was a strong member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and had a passion for training, coaching, and guiding everyone he met (even if they didn’t ask for it).
Joe married Dina Macrina, the love of his life, on June 15th, 2023. Their love was overwhelming, and their joy infectious, touching everyone around them. He is survived by his children Nikki, Rio, Max, John, and Sarah, his grandchildren Ella, Cas, and River, and his siblings Maria, Jo Ann, and John.
