Age 89 died on June 16, 2010. Joseph was predeceased by his wife Eva M. in 2009. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Sandra Chissoe of Ocoee and Melanie Brown of Astatula; 3 sons, Dennis Mathews of Mascot, Danny & Pat Mathews and David Mathews all of Winter Garden; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister Rita Rainaldi of Orlando; nieces, nephews and his dog Buddy. Joseph was a WWII Army Veteran receiving the Silver Star and a Purple Heart. He worked for Florida Power for 30 years.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday 6-9 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
