Judy was born on December 11, 1955 in Fort Wayne, IN to her parents William and Wanda Davidson. She became a Floridian when her family moved to Orlando in 1957. She graduated from Winter Park High School in 1974 and attended Florida State University and Rollins College. She graduated with her Associates degree in Criminal Justice and began her career in law enforcement as a dispatcher for the Maitland Police Department. Judy became a Deputy Sheriff for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department in 1979. She was one of the first female Deputy Sheriffs in the State of Florida. Judy served her community for 32 years on the road and acted as a liaison and advocate for the elderly in Seminole County. She retired from the Sheriff’s department in 2007. Judy loved her family, the sun, water and fishing. She spent her spare time enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
Judy is survived by her best friend and husband of 34 years, Robert Gray; her daughter Pamela Moore and son-in-law Kyle Moore of Gainesville; her son Scott Gray and daughter-in-law Mel Gray of Apopka; her mother, Wanda M. Davidson of Maitland and her sister Patricia Thilmony of Apopka. She was preceded in death by her father, William A. Davidson, Sr. and her brother, William A. Davidson, Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, FL on Friday January 4th at 2:00 in the afternoon.
