Kacheshwar M. Pathak

February 12, 1938 – August 25, 2023
Obituary of Kacheshwar M. Pathak
IN THE CARE OF

Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Kacheshwar M. Pathak, age 85, of Orlando, FL passed away on August 25, 2023.

Kacheshwar was born on February 12, 1938, in the city of Dhule, State of Maharashtra, India to his parents, the late Moreshwar and Kamalabai Pathak.

Our father grew up in India, and like other aspiring immigrants, dreamed of making a life on American soil. He was a courageous trailblazer in our family. By living his dream in a foreign land with his beloved wife, Shobhana Pathak, and their two daughters, he was also able to sponsor other family members to come to the United States.

In his career, our father had a master’s degree in electrical engineering and worked for the United States Government. He worked for all three branches: Army, Navy, and Air Force. He made many contributions to the defense of this country and received many accolades. At the U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command in Huntsville, AL, our father was head of the graphics display program that presented real-time graphics displays providing access to better testing and operations of advanced military systems. Also, my father and his team originally engineered GPS systems for military vehicles which eventually evolved into the GPS systems that you see today.

Our father enjoyed being with his family, and he was one of the most disciplined people we have ever known. His hobbies and passions included: engineering, math, computer programming, Marathi movies, Marathi songs, pursuing healthy habits, and exercising.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shobhana K. Pathak, and his grandson, Rajan P. Laddu.

He is survived by his daughters, Vaishali Laddu and Sonali Patel, and their families and other extended family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared for the Pathak family in the online guest book below.
