Karen was a favorite coach on our team! So fun and real… everyone loved her and wanted more time with her. It is comfort to know she’s in heaven and many of us will see her again! She loved her family and my heart goes out to them… praying for comfort

I don’t remember how I met Karen, it’s was just like she was  “always there” ! 
We lived a couple of miles from each other in PA. We attended the same church, went to Bible studies and woman’s retreats together, I had her girls in youth group, attended lots of parties at her house and worked with her at Rhine Chiropractic. There’s no way to describe the memories but only to cherish them.
My nick name for her was “Kare bear” because that’s who she was, she truly cared about others. The thing I loved the most about Karen was that she showed you all sides of herself in an honest and genuine way, because off that, I could always trust her. 
Tricia, Christine and Damon, there are no words to describe my heart felt sympathies that go out to you and your families.

Karen was one of the first people I met when we moved to Florida. I did not know anyone. She was so friendly and outgoing. Within weeks Karen  invited me to the one of her infamous Ladies Christmas parties. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend. Karen had a talent for writing that she used every year to compose Lenten devotionals  for church. Her faith was very much a center in her life.  Karen was the perfect greeter at First Church, immediately making people feel welcome. She has left a legacy in being kind, approachable and welcoming to everyone. She will be greatly missed

Karen you helped me through one of the toughest times of my life.   I'm so glad I married your cousin and met you.   You were so loving and genuine.  You will be deeply missed and you are so loved.  I know you're in the arms of Jesus.  Till we meet again...

I had the privilege of being Karen’s hairstylist for 16 years, and over that time, she became so much more than a client to me. Our appointments were filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and a closeness that felt like family. Karen’s warmth, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched my life in so many ways, and I will miss her deeply. It’s hard to imagine the salon without her smile and our talks. My heart goes out to her loved ones — she will always hold a special place in mine.

Karen was truly "pure of heart", filled with love for God, her family, (including the family dogs) and her friends. She loved with openness and listened without judgment. What a blessing to have known her!

Supie - we shared so many conversations about our dreams, secrets, challenges and Christian faith. You were in many ways my rock, mentor, “sister” and best friend. Cousin doesn’t even come close. You helped me through so much. My heart is broken and I miss you terribly. I will miss our long chats, our laughs and your calming presence reminding me that God always has a plan. I will also miss your notes that encouraged and corrected but most profoundly showed that you loved me right where I was/am.  I know Jesus greeted you with” well done, my good and faithful servant.” See you on the other side.

Karen lived a life of faith , love and kindness. She will be missed by so many .

I am so sorry for your loss. My name is Cookie Moyer, my husband Glenn went to school with Karen and we both come from the Bare Park area. Karen and I have been writing to one another since my husband was diagnosed with Dementia. The last time we written to one another was when Glenn passed 08/18/225. She was always consoling, kind, supportive. Many days helped me through a day with her friendship. Never once mentioned her illness.  We had a lot of fun when we were growing up at the park. Karen and Damon were faithful friends of mine in the Dallas/Frito Lay days.   They invited me along on a sailing trip.  And I invited my boy friend.  And by the end of the trip, we were engaged.   Karen was in my wedding.  

Now the years have flown by too quickly.  We reconnected on Facebook a bit but never in person.  Now that sweet soul is gone from the earth.  To all those who love her, peace be with you.

In 2005, Karen invited me to her  Ladies’ Christmas party back  in PA.  Being new to the neighborhood and not really knowing anyone, I was very touched she thought to include me. While she moved away many years ago, we still kept touch on Facebook. She was such a good soul and loved her family dearly. The pics she shared with her grandchildren were always the sweetest. I am so very sorry to learn of her passing,  but hope her loved ones know she made the world a kinder place and will be greatly missed by so many.

We've known you and the lovely Karen since the early '80s, when you were the Frito guy and she and I worked together in Ann Arbor at Bechtel Power Corporation. It was apparent you two would be together forever. Her love for you was unmatched.

To her children, Patricia and Christine: 
Even before she became a wife, a mom, and a grandparent, she was a nurturer. Karen had the patience of a saint and offered timely comfort to those who needed it most. To see the joy she found in her family—and in the grandchildren you two gave her—was inspiring.

To Max the dog: Brodie will keep her company until you cross the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, stay close to Papa Damon. He needs you.

We were blessed to have known Karen. Our earthly lives were made better by her presence, and every interaction with her left a lasting impact. Please know that we are lifting you in prayer during this time of unimaginable sorrow. We're comforted by the knowledge that she is with our Lord and will be there to welcome you.

Karen had such a big heart that knew no limits when it came to loving others. I remember her excitement and joy when Amelia came into our family. It was like she was also getting another grandchild! We love you all and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

I got to know Karen when we worked together at Rhine Chiropractic.  Karen was such a gentle, kind and compassionate soul. She was fun, generous, loyal, creative, loved her family and God. My heart breaks for you. She will be missed.

Shortly after I began attending First Church Melbourne in 2023, I began to know Karen as a fellow Christian. As Co-Chair of the Hospitality group, she became my mentor in greeting at the door, along with other voluntary functions. I began to recognize how much Karen demonstrated the Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control of Jesus. 
She truly walked the walk and took to heart the mission stated on her name tag, to “Love God, Love People and Change the World!” 
Damon, Patricia, Christine, you and the rest of Karen’s family have my sympathy for your great loss. We at First Church Melbourne join you in missing Karen, and we look forward to seeing her again!

I am heart broken.   I knew Karen when she  was in PA and we went to BSF together.  She  has been a good friend since even though we never got to see each other at all.  She was a wonderful person who always had a kind word  for me whenever.  I will be praying for her family and I know I will see her again in heaven.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Myself and my parents were your neighbors in Allentown, PA for a few years. Karen was a very kind-hearted, loving person who was always there for me and my parents. I know she was deep in her faith and it showed in her various acts kind acts throughout the neighborhood.
I remember her Christmas parties she hosted and they were always very fun and exciting. I cared about her a lot and we remained in contact when my family and I moved back to Maryland and as I grew older. She will always hold a special place in my heart. She will be greatly missed.

I loved talking to Karen, Damon and Brody at the dog park. It has been awhile since I have seen them. We followed each other on Facebook and I know how much she loved her family, noted by all the pictures of her grandsons.  My deepest sympathy to the family as she had a beautiful presence and was so kind hearted. I hope she was greeted by Brody with lots of fanfare.

Karen, thank you for loving the ones I love, and welcoming me into the family. It’s been an honor and privilege I will never forget.  I hope you are swimming and painting in heaven- I will meet up with you there someday! ❤️

I first met Karen when she worked at Dr. Rhine‘s chiropractic office. Then I discovered we attended the same church and she was my Bible study leader at one time. We became good friends and this picture was taken when she came up from Florida one time and surprised me with a visit! She  gave the best hugs and she always said she would come up and give me a hug on one of her trips from Florida.

Karen was a beloved Soul Sister like no other.  She was kind, empathetic, generous and loving.  Always there to welcome, encourage, assist, and love on all she met.  We are all better people after experiencing Karen's goodness.  We are reassured she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and with the mother she so missed and longed to see.

Oh, sister of His Heart, I will miss you. And every time I hear a church sing “Here I Am, Lord” I will feel you had a hand in it.
