Kathleen "Katie" Outlaw

She was born on January 3rd, 1990 in Orlando, FL. Katie is a graduate of Boone High School and completed college at the University of Florida. While at UF, Katie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with minors in both Business & German, and a Master’s Degree in Education with a minor in Mathematics Education.

Katie was married to Steve Outlaw on June 10th, 2017 at Cypress Grove Park in Orlando. She spent 7 years as a math teacher for Freedom High school where she taught AP Statistics and Algebra 2 Honors, among other math courses. While at Freedom, Katie was involved in Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society) and the Monticello Program.

Katie had a passion for educating her students and helping anyone in need. She loved traveling internationally and all across the United States, and enjoyed relaxing weekends at the beach. Katie also enjoyed visiting both Disney and Universal theme parks with her friends and family. She also had a passion for arts & crafts, designing and creating many shirts, cups/tumblers, hairbows, and Disney ears for the Etsy shop that she shared with a close friend.

Katie is survived by her husband, Steve Outlaw, parents Donna & David Zuefle, brother Cameron Zuefle, sister-in-law Karen Zuefle, and nephews Carter and Mason, mother-in-law Colleen Phelan, and sister-in-law Sarah Phelan.

A visitation for Katie will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734
