In addition to her parents, Kay is proceeded by her son, Bennett and her brother, Collins.
Kay is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert Herring; her daughter in law, MaryLou and her grandchildren, Natalie and Erin Herring.
Kay attended East Carolina, where she met Robert, they were married on February 9, 1963.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed all things craft and gardening. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, needlepoint and embroidery.
She belonged to many volunteer groups and societies throughout her years, including volunteering at Leu Gardens.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL, 34734, United States. The services are scheduled for January 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
