Linda was born on November 29, 1953 in Timonium, Maryland to Miriam (née Westphal) and the late John Lannon. She grew up very close to her siblings John, Jeanine, and the late Patrick Lannon. She graduated from Dulaney High School and continued her studies at Towson University. Linda went on to work at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens for over 30 years and was promoted to Executive Vice President. It was there that she met her devoted husband, Brian Chisholm, when their careers intersected.
Brian and Linda were married on October 7, 1996 in Bar Harbor, Maine. They squeezed 65 years of marriage into 25. They made a conscious choice to live a life full of adventure, laughter, and endless amounts of love. They danced through Canada, renewed their vows in Italy, and Brian even convinced her to camp in the RV (as long as the campsite had cable hookup) with their beloved dogs, Maggie and Chippy, by their side.
In 2005, Brian and Linda traded in the cold winters for the Florida sunshine. She followed her dream to make magic at Walt Disney World starting in 2007. She created happiness for countless Cast Members and Guests with her infectious laugh, positivity, and a little bit of faith, trust, and pixie dust. Linda made everyone she met feel special and important, and treated people like family. These characteristics inspired numerous Cast Members to nominate her for the prestigious Walt Disney Legacy Award, which she embodied to the fullest extent in the many roles she held. The role that she described as life-changing was as a 2012 Traditions Facilitator, where she taught hundreds of Cast Members about the heritage and values of the Walt Disney Company. She retired due to the pandemic in 2021.
Linda was a gracious hostess, skilled chardonnay pourer, and loved to entertain her family and friends. Her sharp sense of humor and zest for life made game nights and gatherings memorable for all. Linda took immense pride in her family and chosen family as she watched them excel in their careers and family lives. The role of wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend brought her much joy.
Linda was the definition of strength during her eight year journey with breast cancer. She used her experience to selflessly advocate and fundraise for programs that support those impacted by breast cancer.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Brian; her fur baby Chip; mother Miriam; siblings Johnny (Janet), Jeanine; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless amounts of dear friends. She was predeceased by her father, John and brother, Patrick.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to AdventHealth Hospice for their love, care, and support for Linda.
