Lois White Akers, age 59, passed away unexpectedly, May 28, 2016. Lois was born on February 2, 1957 in Lancaster, PA. Daughter of Walter Jackson White and Betty Liddick White. Lois is survived by her husband Fred Akers, Son Justin LaChapelle and his wife Kristin, Son, Michael Morgan and grand dog Outlaw, Son Patrick Akers, Daughter Jennifer Colon and her husband Juan, Mother Betty White, Sister Denise Ashcraft and her husband Jim, and Brother Craig White, her grandchildren Ryan, Brooklyn, and Tyson LaChapelle and Christian and Carter Colon. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her father Walter White, her sister Christine Bender and her brother Tim White.
Lois and her husband, Fred, were the owner operators of Dimensions Cabinetry and Millwork.
Lois was a generous, kind, and loving person who loved to laugh and enjoyed the laughter of those around her. She made a positive impact on, and became a friend to everyone she came into contact with. She never met a stranger and had friends in all parts of the country. Lois was strong in her Christian faith and loved the Lord. She lived her life accordingly and never minded sharing her faith to all who would or wouldn’t listen.
She was a lover of animals and collector of bears and vintage hats.
Her most beloved role, however, was that of a mom and grandmother. Her family extended to include all of her children’s and grandchildren’s friends. She was “Grandma Lois” to everyone. We will miss her terribly and she will leave an empty spot in all of our hearts.
The family would request that in lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of the Comforter. hospiceofthecomforter.org
