She moved to New York City where she pursued a career in Retail and retired from it in her late fifties. After many years in NYC, she decided to move to the state of Florida where she and the family ran a business and breaded cockatiels.
She was a member of the church she attended and active in any area of ministry needed in serving. Pastor Confesor and Pastor Natty were not only a big part of her spiritual walk, but true friends and family.
She lived a very peaceful and fulfilling life with her three children Daphne, Alberto and Jose. Caring for her birds and walking around her beautiful acreage surrounded by a breathtaking lake was her ideal day.
Luz Maria will be missed for her inner strength, strong convictions to stand on the truth without wavering. Qualities that will remain in her immediate family and friends undoubtably.
One of Luz Maria favorite bible verse was Psalm 91: 1-2
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge, and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust.”
A gathering will be held at Dignity Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Saturday, November 15, at 10:00 am. Service by Pastor Natty will be held at the Gravesite. Family has asked for no flowers at the service.
