Lydia Leonora Stickel

She was born on March 1, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky and was the first born of Duell and Esther Williams. She was raised in Red Bush, Kentucky and moved to Miami, Florida in the early 1960’s where she met her husband. They moved to Orlando, FL in 1985.

She got her nursing degree from Morehead State and worked in a variety of settings as a registered nurse for more than 50 years.

She retired from the Orlando clinic after many years and continued to volunteer at Dr. Phillips’ Hospital.

She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Burchett and Marilyn Preston, of Flat Gap Kentucky; her sons Jeff Stickel of Springfield, VA and Mark Stickel of Flat Gap, KY; her daughters Amy Marcos of Miami, FL, Sally Darlin of Winter Springs, FL and Paula Westcott of Ocoee, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
