Margaret L. Jenkins

Margaret L. Jenkins, 89, of Leesburg, FL passed away on January 17, 2014. She was born to the late Hardy Denson and Addie Ozella Hill on May 30, 1924 in Harlan, Kentucky. Margaret grew up in Bessemer, Alabama. She met and married her late husband, James H. Jenkins, in 1940 and the two were married for 60 years prior to his passing in 2001. Together, Margaret and James had 3 sons, Jim, Jerry, and Jeff. Margaret was a wonderful mother and caring for her family was her priority. She is described as a woman strong in her faith, and she never knew a stranger. Margaret will be deeply missed by all those who knew and could not help but love her, a beautiful person inside and out.

Margaret was preceded in her passing by her husband, James; Brothers, Ray and Gene Hill; and Sister Dorothy “Dot” Hill.

She is survived by her Sons, Jim, Jerry, and Jeff Jenkins; Sisters, Ruth and Addie Mae Hill; 8 Grandchildren; and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am-10:00am on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL, 34734.

Service officiated by Pastor Scott Moore will follow at 10:00am, and Burial will follow the Service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
